Tour Katalonien 2024
Im Laufe seiner langen Geschichte hat Kling Klong schon oft im Ausland gespielt, in Italien, England, Österreich. Im April 2024 ging es zum ersten Mal nach Spanien, genauer: nach Katalonien. Der erste Auftritt fand in dem neuen Saal von Smart Music Solutions in der Stadt Vilanova i la Geltru statt. Die beiden folgenden Konzerte erfolgten im Harlem Jazz Club in der Altstadt von Barcelona.
Alle Gigs waren sehr gut besucht, die Stimmung war prächtig. Interessant war der Versuch, einige unserer deutschen Texte ins Spanische zu übertragen. Meistens ging das gut. Nur bei unserem Hit „Kaputt, kaputt – mein Plattenspieler ist kaputt“ sind wir an Grenzen gestoßen. Seit einiger Zeit fordern wir unser Publikum bei diesem Stück auf, einzelne Textstellen mit uns zu rufen. In Deutschland klappt das prima. Wir haben jedoch festgestellt, dass wir an der Rhythmus-gerechten Spanisch-Version noch feilen müssen. Beim nächsten Mal wird´s besser.
Besonders eine Begegnung wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben: Ein etwa vierzigjähriger Türke stellte sich uns als Fan vor. Er erzählte, dass er im Internet auf unsere Musik gestoßen sei und uns schon einige Jahre beobachten würde. Jetzt verbrachte er ein paar freie Tage in Barcelona und konnte uns bei dieser Gelegenheit endlich live erleben. Wer weiß, vielleicht spielen wir ja eines Tages auch in der Türkei. Die Mini-Tour durch Katalonien war ein tolles Erlebnis für uns als Band, und wohl auch für unsere Zuhörer. Wir haben vor, demnächst wieder in Barcelona zu spielen, neue Auftritte sind in Planung. Und dann wird es auch mit der spanischen Version von „Kaputt, kaputt“ hinhauen.

Spring tour to Catalonia
Over the course of our long history Kling Klong has played abroad several times, in Italy, England and Austria. In April 2024 we went to Spain for the first time, or more precisely: to Catalonia. The first gig took place in the new club Smart Music Solutions in the city of Vilanova i la Geltrú, where our bassist Sascha Siebenmorgen also lives. The following two concerts took place at the Harlem Jazz Club in the old town of Barcelona.
All gigs were very well attended and the atmosphere was great. It was interesting to try to translate some of our German texts into Spanish. Most of the time it went well. Only with our hit “Kaputt, Kaputt – my record player is broken” did we reach our limits. For some time now, we have been asking our audience in this piece to call out individual passages of text with us. In Germany it works great. However, we realized that we still need to work on the rhythm-appropriate Spanish version. It’ll be better next time.
We will remember one encounter in particular: a forty-year-old Turkish man introduced himself to us as a fan. He said that he had come across our music on the Internet and had been watching us for several years. Now he spent a few days off in Barcelona and was finally able to see us live on this occasion. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll play in Turkey too. The mini tour through Catalonia was a great experience for us as a band, and probably also for our listeners. We plan to play in Barcelona again soon, new gigs are being planned. And then the Spanish version of “Kaputt, Kaputt” will also work.

Gira de primavera por Cataluña
A lo largo de nuestra larga historia Kling Klong ha tocado varias veces en el extranjero, en Italia, Inglaterra y Austria. En abril de 2024 fuimos por primera vez a España, o más precisamente: a Cataluña. El primer concierto tuvo lugar en la nueva sala de Smart Music Solutions, en la ciudad de Vilanova i la Geltru, donde también vive nuestro bajista Sascha Siebenmorgen. Los dos siguientes conciertos tuvieron lugar en el Harlem Jazz Club del barrio gotico de Barcelona.
Todos los conciertos contaron con una gran asistencia y el ambiente fue genial. Fue interesante intentar traducir algunos de nuestros textos alemanes al español. La mayoría de las veces salió bien. Sólo con nuestro éxito “Kaputt, kaputt – mi tocadiscos está roto” alcanzamos nuestros límites. Desde hace algún tiempo, hemos estado pidiendo a nuestra audiencia en este artículo que mencione pasajes individuales de texto con nosotros. En Alemania funciona muy bien. Sin embargo, nos dimos cuenta de que todavía tenemos que trabajar en la versión en español con un ritmo apropiado. Será mejor la próxima vez.
Recordaremos un encuentro en particular: un hombre turco de cuarenta años se presentó ante nosotros como un aficionado. Dijo que había encontrado nuestra música en Internet y que nos había estado observando durante varios años. Ahora pasó unos días de descanso en Barcelona y por fin pudo vernos en directo en esta ocasión. Quién sabe, quizá algún día también toquemos en Turquía. La mini gira por Cataluña fue una gran experiencia para nosotros como banda y probablemente también para nuestros oyentes. Planeamos volver a tocar en Barcelona pronto, se están planeando nuevos conciertos. Y luego también funcionará la versión en español de “Kaputt, Kaputt”.
